We Are Coming to Glorify you Bangladesh

NRBs (Non-Resident Bangladeshis) would be embarrassed, and we would stay silent as we watch people in Bangladesh come to the streets and rally up on one another due to their differences in political alliances. These violent activities all over Bangladesh are caused by promotions of violence by AL, BNP, Jatiya (Ershad), and Jamaat-E-Islami corrupt leaders.

Today is the one year anniversary of the military take over of Bangladesh to flush out the dirty politicians. My pride for Bangladesh has never been greater in my life ever since the military took power and made many reforms to fix up our beautiful country. There are obviously much more work to be done, but they have made significant contribution in securing the people and securing businesses in Bangladesh. One of our greatest NRBs, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has lifted over 3 million people out of poverty in less than 30 years. No one in the world, that I know of, has done that in this century. Dr. Yunus’s work has caused Bangladesh to reduce her poverty population 2% every year (1% in the early years), and that shows the power of what NRBs can do. We see America, UK, Australia, Canada prospering when we go abroad to those nations and we imagine that one day Bangladesh will catch up to that level and insh’Allah it will. Unlike India and Pakistan, Bangladesh is not a federation; we are a single state with 98% of us being of the Bengali ethnicity, which should promote constant friendly interaction with each other.

If you are a Awami League follower and you know and hate a BNP follower then dump the hate; don’t let different political alliances keep you apart from a fellow Bangladeshi. Work together and make a better Bangladesh. If we just put our differences aside then we can make Bangladesh an industrialized nation. Some of our leaders of the past have failed as they worry more about themselves than their own people. If we keep on fighting one another then we would’ve been better off being East Pakistanis, but we’re NOT, we are Bangladeshis. The people who lead Bangladesh to a gutter are getting old and weak and we are the next generation of Bangladeshis, let’s work together and make a beautiful Bangladesh.

The following video was made by a fellow young Bangladeshi. This video is truly inspiring, and it shows what the Bangladeshi youth abroad want for our beloved country.

The video is compose of pictures of different cities around the world and what Bangladesh could look like if we contribute to it. The video inspired me to keep my hopes up for the Bangladesh of tomorrow, for future generations. We can do it one day if we just work together and think of our nation first before ourselves. “Bangladesh Zindabad!
