Genocide Will Lead to a Country’s Destruction
February 3, 2008 – 1:18 am Without Muslim Bengalis There Would be No Pakistan
Punjabis historically didn’t want Pakistan from the beginning because by having Pakistan, Punjab would have to be split up. Bengal was already split with Hindu West Bengal and Muslim East Bengal. The Muslim Bengalis of East Bengal voted overwhelmingly for the creation of Pakistan because they wanted to escape the Hindu zaminders (feudal estate lords) and also the Bengal was already split up so there was nothing to loose. But as we can see from history the Punjabis dominated the military and slaughtered the Bengalis, the same people who gave significant help to give rise to Pakistan. The truth is without the Muslim Bengalis there would not be a Pakistan today.
The genocide of innocent people lead to the loss of East Pakistan and the Quad-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s dream was shattered. A country cannot stay together if majority of her people are oppressed and killed. The genocide of Bengalis forced them to leave Pakistan and taking away the Quad-E-Azam’s vision of a state for Desi Muslims.
Genocide Bangladesh reports:
“…… we were told to kill the hindus and Kafirs
( non-believer in God). One day in June, we cordoned a village and were ordered to kill the Kafirs in that area. We found all the village women reciting from the Holy Quran, and the men holding special congregational prayers seeking God’s mercy. But they were unlucky. Our commanding officer ordered us not to waste any time.”-Confession of a Pakistani Soldier

@sunny:You cannot blame only one side there were mistakes and misunderstandings created by the politicians of both parts of the country and India but as a new and young generation we are responsible to fulfill the dreams of Quaid-e-Azam.my Taya (Elder brother of my Father) was in East Pakistan he was a major in Pakistan Army he was martyred by Indian Army on 16th December 1971 he didn’t surrender rather he saved many bangalese there but no one in my family have hatred against Bangladeshis why should we have? We know that Bangladeshis are our brothers but its time to wake up and realize our enemy and not to play in others hand.

I never blamed just Pakistanis, we also have murderers on the Bengali side as well. We call them Razkars, they are Bengalis and the slaughtered innocent Bengalis.

@Shameem: Ethically you should not be proud of Mukti Bahini as it was also wrong if any Pakistani officer committed killings the conspiracy for separation was started by India way back in 1950’s when they started distributing wrong literature I admit that there was a problem of provincial autonomy but it was in West Pakistan also and still we have the same problem so there was no discrimination with bengales when it comes to provincial autonomy.
Basically I am a Urdu speaking Mahajir originally my family is from Uttar Pardesh (India) and I can tell you when in 1980’s MQM raised the voice for separation our own people refused and now MQM has become a National party. Why? Because the solution of problems is not separation. And I believe Bangales should have refused to separate.
